How-to: Flat Stitch

Flat Stitch (f)

The flat stitch is also similar to the knit stitch, except it is the shortest and tightest stitch.

1. Hold the working yarn above the loop on the peg.

2. Lift the bottom loop over and off the peg. Then repeat on next peg, and continue until all pegs are knit.

Tip: When knitting with the flat stitch, hold the working yarn secure but loosely. Pulling the working yarn too tight will create very tight tension on the knitting and thus be very hard to hook over.
